We have been very fortunate with our successes in the Lowchen breed.  Little did we know, when we brought home "Joey" our first, what journey this breed would take us on.  We brought our foundation girl, Onyxx, home in the fall of 2000.  In the Spring of 2001, at the biggest show in the country, Louisville, KY, Onyxx won four 3 point majors at 8 months of age.  The comments from all the Judges about our little dynamo were unbelievable.  We decided that she should go to the National Specialty in PA at the end of May, to hopefully finish her championship in style.  Well, she did not let us down.  She started the day by going best puppy in Sweeps, and finished the day by going Best of Breed from the puppy class over 16 "specials" with Kathy on the lead.  Since '01 our dogs have won the Breed at the National Specialty 3 times.  Onyxx's son "JB" following his Mother with Best of Breed wins in 2005 & 2007.  Also in 2005, Zorro, litter mate to JB, went Best Puppy in Sweeps, and Lacey, litter sister, went Best of Opposite in Sweeps.

Onyxx's first, and only litter, produced 4 beautiful puppies.  3 are champions, and the 4th just needing a major to finish.

For 2007 "JB", BISS Ch. SweetMeadow's JB of Kismet is #1 in Breed and All Breed.  We are also thrilled to have "JB" included in the new Edition of Solving the Mysteries of Breed Type by Richard G. Beauchamp, Pg. 28.

"In this, the second edition of Solving the Mysteries of Breed Type, I have included an honor roll of dogs that recently have made their presence felt.  They are dogs that have particularly impressed me with their excellence and that illustrates well the type-defining "most of the best" principle explained within the text of this book.  Some have show records that have surpassed those of all other in their respective breeds.  Other are on the threshold of their show careers but could well be destined to be included among the greats in years to come.  And even if some of these dogs never accumulate great numbers of wins, they nevertheless should not be overlooked for the quality and breed type they possess."

We are excited about our future in this wonderful breed.

Please enjoy our beautiful "little lion" dogs!
